Sealcoat- Pier 38, Honolulu, HI
Sealcoat Fishing Village Pier 38, Honolulu, HI
The State of Hawaii wanted this Honolulu Fishing Village at Pier 38 resemble that of San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf or Seattle’s Pike Place Market. With the need to make this project work for all the current tenants and look good for years to come we needed to provide excellent service.
We worked with the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Harbors Division to accommodate all the needs of the tenants and construction going on here. We broke up this project into smaller jobs and operated during off hours so that the tenants could still fully operate during key day and evening hours. Special procedures were developed regarding application to prevent overspray from contaminating Honolulu harbor. After the sealcoating application we painted the parking lines, striped the roadway and marked all the loading zones and handicapped parking areas.
We continue to work on this Honolulu location by doing touch up jobs and a second coating with sealcoating after the initial application in 2012.
